Legendary former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi believes that Simone Inzaghi has done a good job of keeping the work of Antonio Conte at Inter going.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Tacchinardi praised the current Inter coach for the continuity that he has established from the work of his predecessor.

Antonio Conte had a significant impact in his two seasons in charge of the Nerazzurri, guiding the club to a Europa League final and a second place finish in his first campaign in charge before winning the Scudetto in his second.

The current Tottenham Hotspur boss’s decision to leave at the beginning of the summer was a major blow to the team’s ambitions, and the losses of key players further raised doubts about the possibility of kicking on from last season.

However, Inzaghi has fit in well since his arrival to take Conte’s place, and has hardly missed a beat in keeping the team as strong as it had been under the previous coach.

Tacchinardi emphasized this, stating that “Inzaghi has done an exceptional job. He is very intelligent, he capitalized on the work left behind by Conte. He came in in a very humble way and worked well.”
