Defender Zinho Vanheusden could return to Inter from his loan with Genoa in the event that Aleskandar Kolarov leaves the club next month.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that recalling the Belgian could be one option for the Nerazzurri in the event that Kolarov is sold.

Kolarov has been a fringe member of the Nerazzurri’s squad this season, having made fewer appearances than almost anyone else in the team so far this campaign.

The 36-year-old could seek a move away in the January transfer window, with Cagliari one possible destination for him in which he would be afforded more playing time.

Should the Serbian defender be on his way, the Nerazzurri will look for a solution to fill his place in the team, and bringing Vanheusden back from his loan with the Griffone would be one serious option that they would consider.
