Former Lazio and Napoli striker Bruno Giordano believes that Inter have not suffered from injury-related setbacks to the same degree as their rivals in Serie A.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radiosei, the 65-year-old remarked on how in his view the Nerazzurri have not been hit by injury-related absences as much as other top sides in Italy.

Inter have not been without injuries over the course of the first half of the campaign, particularly in defensive areas, but they have not been without as many key players at given times as many of their rivals.

This is especially true of the likes of AC Milan and Napoli, who have had to cope without key players in all areas of the pitch, particularly in recent weeks.

It remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri will experience a similar injury situation over the remainder of the campaign or if they will continue in this kind, but it could well play a role in the direction of the season.

“Inter have been the team least affect by injuries,” Giordano stated of the top end of Serie A, “especially considering the squad available to Inzgahi.”
