Former Torino defender Massimo Brambati believes that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has done the best job of any manager in Serie A this season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Brambati gave the view that the former Lazio boss has done the most impressive job in charge of a Serie A job of anyone so far.

Inzaghi had a tough task at Inter when he replaced Antonio Conte in the summer, having to live up to the previous season’s Scudetto achievements while also losing key players in the form of Achraf Hakimi, Romelu Lukaku, and Christian Eriksen.

However, the 45-year-old has gone about his work very well, integrating a number of new signings to become key players while also getting the best out of the players who had already shone under Conte.

Brambati feels that Inzaghi has been more impressive than any of his contemporaries in the Italian top flight up to this point.

Asked who he considered to be the top coach so far this season, he named “Inzaghi, because he’s won the games that win you the Scudetto.”

“Maybe he failed to win some head-to-head clashes, but he hasn’t failed the rest,” he added.

“He’s taken up Conte’s work, but he’s done very well with it,” he continued. “And he has imposed his own style very well, adding Calhanoglu and Dzeko. For me I rate his work at 8/10.”

Brambati also included five Nerazzurri in his team of the season thus far, namely “Szczęsny, Koulibaly, De Ligt, Bastoni, Cuadrado, Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Kessié, Vlahovic, Lautaro.”
