Inter are considering a move for Everton left-back Lucas Digne, with the 28-year-old a major target to shore up their left-sided options.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Frenchman is now one of the leading candidates to arrive to back up Ivan Perisic on the left.

The Nerazzurri currently have two players capable of playing in the left wing-back position, in the form of Perisic and Federico Dimarco.

However, with Perisic potentially on his way out next summer should he be unable to agree on a new contract and Dimarco seen as more of a left-sided centre-back, the club could look to bring in reinforcements.

In this event, Digne would be one of the primary targets, possibly as early as during the January transfer window, especially considering that the player’s situation with the Premier League club currently looks to be unsettled and he could be on his way out.
