Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu will miss the Nerazzurri’s first match back from the winter break, away to Bologna, through suspension.

This is confirmed by the Sports Justice of Italy via L’Interista, with the 27-year-old out for the Serie A clash through an accumulation of yellow cards after he was booked against Torino.

Nicolo Barella had missed the Nerazzurri’s last match before the break, at home against Torino, as he had himself picked up an accumulation of yelllow cards with his booking against Salernitana.

Now it will be Calhanoglu’s turn to sit one match out, with his booking against the Granata seeing him miss the clash against Bologna.

It is likely that either Arturo Vidal or Matias Vecino will start in place of the Turkish midfielder for the away trip to Emilia-Romagna, with coach Simone Inzaghi set to make his decision for the midfield based on what he sees in training in the new year.
