Inter are ready to offer midfielder Marcelo Brozovic wages similar to those earned by Lautaro Martinez to convince him to extend his contract.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will do absolutely everything they can to renew with the 29-year-old.

Inter had been hoping to have a new contract with Brozovic wrapped up by the end of the year, with coach Simone Inzaghi insisting that the extension by an absolute priority.

However, the midfielder has still rejected the Nerazzurri’s most recent offer, of €5.5 million net per season plus add-ons.

The club are ready to come even closer to the Croat’s initial demand of €7 million net per season by making him an offer equal to what Lautaro Martinez earns on his contract signed earlier this season.

Brozovic will be offered a net of €6 million per season plus add-ons to convince him to get a deal done by the end of January.
