Inter have enjoyed a positive 2021, and their stats across the calendar bear this out.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note some of the most impressive numbers from the Nerazzurri for the year.
The Nerazzurri have collected 104 points over the 43 matches played in 2021, ten ahead of Atalanta and thirteen more than Napoli have in the same period.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri’s total goal difference of +71 from having scored 104 goals and conceded just 33 makes them top of Serie A as well.
This season the Nerazzurri have the most goals scored in Serie A with 49, while their fifteen conceded leaves them only one behind Napoli as far as having the best defense so far this campaign.
One more statistic that could give an indication of why the Nerazzurri have been as successful as they have been can be found in the fact that Marcelo Brozovic has run a total of 11,581 kilometres in Serie A in 2021.
This puts him second for the division, behind only Antonin Barak who has started regularly for the high-pressing Hellas Verona team, and shows Brozovic’s impact on the team’s dominant performances all year.
