Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries did not have any second thoughts about making the switch from PSV during the summer.

Speaking to to Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad in an interview published in today’s print edition, the 25-year-old emphasized that the move to the Nerazzurri always felt ready.

Dumfries has grown in reputation throughout his career, with his form over the last couple seasons at PSV and his starring role for the Netherlands at the Euros marking him out as a target for a number of European clubs.

However, it was Inter who ultimately won the race for the Dutchman’s signature, and he has no regrets about having made the decision to settle on a move to the Giuseppe Meazza.

The 25-year-old is really starting to repay the Nerazzurri’s faith with a string of good performances before the winter break, and for him the club was always a destination that he was proud to sign for.

“If I’m being honest, I didn’t think twice about it when I signed for Inter,” he stated. “I did it in spite of many people who didn’t believe in me.”
