Former Cagliari, Genoa, and Chievo Verona head coach Rolando Maran believes that Inter are the team with the least need to dip into the market in January.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, the coach gave the view that the Nerazzurri are already the team strong enough to win the Scudetto.

Inter are now four points ahead at the top of the Serie A table, and they will feel that their squad has done well to get them this far, especially showing its quality across their run of seven wins to surge to the top.

This is not to say that the club will not consider signings next month, especially in the event that there are departures which could need to be replaced.

However, it is Maran’s view that in terms of quality, right now the Nerazzurri have all they need and are less liable to sign reinforcements than their rivals.

“Inter have replaced the two world-class players who left in the summer and have not let their level drop,” he stated. “They remain the favourite to prevail in the end, and are the team with the least need to improve with signings in January.”
