Inter are getting closer to agreeing a new deal with midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, though there is still some distance to be overcome before they extend the contract of Ivan Perisic.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are close to finding total agreement with Brozovic but that Perisic’s request is still far in excess of what they are offering.

The Nerazzurri have put forward an offer worth a net €6 million per season plus add-ons to convince Brozovic to stay on past next summer.

This looks to be close to the right number between the club’s prior offer of €5.5 million net per season and the €7 million net which the 29-year-old has been demanding.

Perisic’s situation, however, will still require a significant closing of the gap, with the Croat asking for a three-year deal worth €6 million net per season and the club only ready to offer €3.5 million net per season on a two-year deal.
