Inter President Steven Zhang is aiming to be in Milan in time to attend the Supercoppa Italiana match between the Nerazzurri and Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the President is aiming to be in Italy sometime early in January so that he can watch the clash with the Bianconeri in person.

Zhang has not been able to leave China and visit Italy to deal with matters at the club or watch the team for some months due to the strict travel restrictions around the pandemic in China.

The President has worked closely via video conferences, but he is hopeful that he can be in attendance in person by the time the Nerazzurri face off with Juventus on January 12.

It remains to be seen if this will prove to be feasible given the restrictions that see anyone travelling from China have to quarantine for a month upon their return, but it is Zhang’s aim.
