Inter will look to sign a left-sided player to back up Ivan Perisic on the left should Aleksandar Kolarov leave during the January transfer window.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Nerazzurri are targeting Everton’s Lucas Digne and Lazio’s Mohamed Fares in the event that Kolarov leaves.

The Nerazzurri would allow Kolarov to leave during the January window, and should he leave then they would be on the hunt for a replacement, though likely only on a loan with a purchase option.

Digne has fallen out with Everton head coach Rafa Benitez and would be available next month, while Fares looks set to return to the Biancocelesti from his loan with Genoa.

Meanwhile, Matias Vecino would also be allowed to leave the club next month with interest coming from Serie A, La Liga, and the Premier League, and the club would move for Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez in the event of his departure.
