Inter are set to hand head coach Simone Inzaghi a contract extension that will keep him on at the club past 2023 when his current deal expires.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri will look to renew with the coach over the next few months.

Inzaghi was given a two-year deal when he arrived from Lazio at the start of the summer to replace Antonio Conte as head coach following the latter’s departure.

The club were not yet sure if the former Biancocelesti boss would be the right man to lead the team for seasons to come.

However, Inzaghi’s work so far this campaign has impressed the club who feel that he has guided the team to all their objectives for the season so far despite facing some adversity, and they want to secure his future for seasons to come past 2023 based on this.
