Legendary former Juventus and Napoli goalkeeper Dino Zoff believes that even with Inter’s tough schedule in the next few weeks, they are still Scudetto favourites.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster New Sound Level 90FM, the former keeper gave the view that the Nerazzurri have a sizable advantage over second place AC Milan.

The Nerazzurri are first in the Serie A table going into the second round of fixtures, but they will immediately have their title credentials tested when they return.

After their first match back, an away trip to face Bologna, Inter have clashes with top four rivals Atalanta, Milan, and Napoli, as well as Lazio, in quick succession.

The Nerazzurri have a tangible lead to hold onto for the moment in the form of their four-point gap at the top, but will be wary of seeing it disappear.

However, Zoff believes that they should be able to hold on nevertheless, stating that “Inter now certainly look to be the favourites, despite the fact that they have a tough series of matches, not to mention the COVID wild card.”

“However, I believe that they still have a significant advantage over Milan,” he added.
