Juventus forward Federico Chiesa is very impressed with the level that Inter have shown so far to reach the top of the Serie A table this season.

Speaking to Rome-based newspaper Le Repubblica, the 24-year-old praised the Nerazzurri’s quality and consistency over the first half of the campaign.

Chiesa will have gone into the start of the season hoping that he could get his hands on the Scudetto for the first time in his career, with his team Juventus among the favourites.

However, the Bianconeri’s season has not quite gone according to plan, especially in the early weeks in which they struggled to find form and dropped a number of points.

There are signs that Juventus are back on track, but the young forward acknowledges that catching up with the current league leaders Inter will be no easy feat given the Nerazzurri’s form so far in the campaign.

“They are having a great season,” he said of the Nerazzurri, “they’re doing well and have been consistent.”

He added that “We have to keep up and wait for the teams ahead of us to stumble. But first of all we have to concentrate on -ourselves.”
