Legendary former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi believes that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has been the most impressive in Serie A over the first half of the season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Tacchniardi named Inzaghi and AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli as being particularly impressive but suggested that Inzaghi has been even moreso.

Inzaghi was part of an influx of new coaches at the top end of Serie A, with five of last season’s top seven clubs in the division having changed things up on the bench over the summer.

The new coaches have found varying levels of success, but in Inzaghi the Nerazzurri appear to be the team to have found the most successful coach of the lot.

The former Lazio manager has managed to settle in and implement his ideas quickly, and he has the team on track to defend the Scudetto achieved last season under Antonio Conte.

“Inzaghi and Pioli are both good, but Simone is doing better because he has a stronger squad,” Tacchinardi stated, “Pioli is doing a good job, he’s had a few bad moments but he’s right behind Inzaghi.”
