Former Spezia and Palermo coach Devis Mangia believes that Inter, Napoli, and Atalanta are currently the three teams best placed to go all the way in Serie A.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Mangia named the Nerazzurri among the three teams having the best seasons so far among the Italian top flight.

The Nerazzurri have been in great form this season, sitting top of the table after the first round of fixtures, and having won seven games in a row prior to the winter break.

However, there are also a number of strong teams behind them, and it is far from a foregone conclusion that Inter will stay on top across the rest of the campaign.

For Mangia, Inter are among the top sides, but so are third-place Napoli and fourth-place Atalanta, with half a season still left to go and much room for the standings to be upended.

“The season still has a long way to go,” he said, “Inter, Napoli, and Atalanta certainly look to be the frontrunners, although Fiorentina, Verona, and Torino are also having great seasons considering the material they have at their disposal.”
