Inter are in the final stages of agreeing on a deal with Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana who will join the club on a free transfer next summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the club are all but finished with the contract details to bring the Cameroonian at the end of June.

Onana has long been identified as Inter’s preferred long-term replacement to captain Samir Handanovic between the sticks, and the club have been in talks with him for some time.

Advanced talks have been reported for a number of months but the Nerazzurri have not been able to formalize an agreement with him just yet as he is still an Ajax player.

However, now everything looks to be in place for the 25-year-old to sign his contract with the Nerazzurri which will see him join next summer when his contract with the Dutch champions expires.
