Inter are hoping that they can beat Juventus to the signature of Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca by focusing on a summer move rather than moving for him next month.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are ready to make their move to convince the Neroverdi.

Scamacca has emerged as a major transfer target for the Bianconeri as they look to add quality to their attack in January.

However, they are currently only ready to offer €30-35 million for the 22-year-old, far from the €40-45 million being asked by the Emilian club.

The Nerazzurri are in active talks with Sassuolo and have been for some time, and they could look to get in ahead of the Bianconeri by making an offer in excess of €35 million, closer to the valuation set for the player.

Moreover, Sassuolo do not wish to let Scamacca go in January, and the Nerazzurri could convince them on a summer move instead.
