The Italian Footballers’ Association has selected Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu as the player of the month in December, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by FCInternews, the Turkish midfielder clearly impressed his fellow footballers as they decided he was the best player in the entire division during the December matches.
It caps a very good period of time for Hakan Calhanoglu as he was named the official Serie A MVP for November after some excellent performances in the Nerazzurri midfield.
The ex-AC Milan player has been instrumental in Inter’s seven Serie A wins in a row, setting up goals for teammates and chipping in with goals himself.
After a very mixed start to his Inter career, Hakan Calhanoglu now appears to have cemented his place in the Inter midfield alongside Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic, rather than alternating regularly with Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.
