Lazio are facing a battle to renew Luiz Felipe’s contract as Inter look to reunite him with Simone Inzaghi next season, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Luiz Felipe’s contract will run out at the end of the current season but the Biancocelesti are very keen to keep him at the club beyond the current deal.

They need to come up with a deal that would see the Brazilian earn around €2.5 million per season. That is a figure that Lazio may be able to reach but they run the risk of him choosing to pursue a move to Inter to work again with Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri are not the only team keen on signing the defender though. La Liga sides Barcelona and Real Betis are also exploring him as a defensive option.

Lazio will have to act fast to keep him in Rome.
