AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has expressed how bad the Giallorossi’s home defeat against Inter was in December, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with the Roman club’s official website, Lorenzo Pellegrini explained that the 3-0 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico on December 3 made him feel very bad.

The only positive for him from the game was the loud and repeated chanting from the home fans in support of the team for the final 10 minutes of the game, even though the result was wrapped up a long time beforehand.

“That was the only positive note of the evening. Like all the fans who were in the stands with me and like my teammates, I felt that defeat badly. Unfortunately, when this happens, you have to analyse every aspect to try to improve.”

AS Roma were without a number of key players for that match, including Lorenzo Pellegrini. That meant they were always going to be the underdogs against Simone Inzaghi’s side.

They were 3-0 down at half time thanks to goals from Hakan Calhanoglu, Edin Dzeko, and Denzel Dumfries, all scored in front of the travelling Inter fans who made the trip.
