Inter has officially confirmed that three first team players have tested positive for Covid-19 after returning to training on Thursday, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been confirmed by an official statement from the club, Edin Dzeko, Martin Satriano, and Alex Cordaz have all tested positive for Covid-19 and will now be required to self-isolate.

The three players are all currently isolating in their homes and will follow the procedures set out by the health authorities in Italy.

Inter had their first training session after the Christmas break at Appiano Gentile on Thursday and all players and staff were made to take a Covid-19 test. It was also reported that Edin Dzeko was sent home with cold symptoms.

It was not known that he definitely had coronavirus at that time but now it has been confirmed that he and two more Nerazzurri players have contracted coronavirus.
