Former Juventus director Luciano Moggi has claimed that Inter will win the Scudetto again this season now that they have a four point lead, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, Luciano Moggi explained that Inter will be able to keep their place at the top and defend the title that they won last season under Antonio Conte.

The reason he gave for this opinion is that Napoli have now suffered too many important injuries and will also lose players such as Kalidou Koulibaly and Victor Osimhen for the Africa Cup Of Nations very soon.

“The Scudetto is still for Inter, yes. Napoli is decimated by Covid, injuries and the African Cup.”

The Azzurri were leading the way in Serie A for the first quarter of the season but injuries led to a severe drop in form for Luciano Spalletti’s side.

Luciano Moggi also feels that the January transfer window won’t change anything because it cannot fix an entire team.

“The football teams are not fixed in January, but patched up.”
