Former AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has claimed that with a full squad the Rossoneri can compete with Inter for the Scudetto, according to a report in the Italian print media.

Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Adriano Galliani explained that AC Milan have been hit by a very extreme injury crisis and that is why they have fallen four points behind the Nerazzurri in the Serie A table at the halfway point.

“Milan can still win the Scudetto, and will fight until the end of the championship.”

The executive who is now involved with Serie B side Monza feels that if AC Milan can get back to an almost full squad of players within the next month or so, they will then be able to challenge Inter for the Serie A title more effectively.

“In this period they have been blocked by injuries, a problem, but by next month the situation will be different. As a fan I can say that I think that Milan with the full squad will be able to compete with Inter and as a fan I hope it will happen.”

AC Milan have had a number of attacking players out injured with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rafael Leao, Ante Rebic, Olivier Giroud, and Brahim Diaz all facing time on the sidelines.
