Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana will sign his contract to join Inter next summer in the coming weeks.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Cameroonian is all but ready to make his summer move to the Nerazzurri on a free transfer official.

Inter have been in talks with Onana for some time to make the 25-year-old the long-term successor to captain Samir Handanovic in goal, but have not yet officially secured his signature for next summer.

However, soon the club will officially be able to get the deal over the line now that the January transfer window is about to open, and the goalkeeper will make the move official.

Onana’s current deal with Ajax runs out at the end of June 2022 and he has officially announced that he has no plans to extend with the Dutch champions beyond next summer, leaving him free to join the Nerazzurri.
