Inter are considering signing Sassuolo midfielder Filip Djuricic on a free transfer next summer in spite of his injury issues.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are still targeting the Serb even though he has missed significant time with injury this season.

Djuricic has emerged as a possible target for the Nerazzurri next summer recently, as the 29-year-old’s current deal with the Neroverdi is set to run out at the end of June 2022 and he has yet to find an agreement on an extension.

One thing that could dissuade the club from moving for the midfielder, however, would be the recent injury setbacks that he has seen – Djuricic has missed the past couple months since October 23 through injury.

It remains to be seen the exact nature of the injury and whether it is serious enough to affect the player’s future availability, but for now Inter are continuing to target the 29-year-old.
