Former Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen could be at the San Siro for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Lazio where he would say goodbye to the Nerazzurri faithful.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old could be in attendance for the match.

Eriksen made his departure from Inter last month official once it became absolutely clear that a return to the pitch in Italy would be impossible due to health and safety regulations in the country.

The Dane has been keeping fit in the hopes that he could even return to football outside of Italy this season, with Ajax and a return to the Premier League possible destinations while he is less interested in a return to Odense.

Eriksen is hoping to say his farewells to the Nerazzurri and to the supporters, however, and could do so in the first match at the San Siro in 2022.
