Former Inter winger Franesco Moriero believes that the Nerazzurri have all the qualities to go all the way and win Serie A this season.

Speaking to Italian news outlet L’Interista, the 52-year-old expressed confidence about the Nerazzurri’s chances in the Scudetto race this season.

Inter are four points clear at the top of the table after have a season played, and this gap appears to fairly reflect the level of quality that they have shown over the first half of the campaign, especially in their winning run to surge to the top of the table before the winter break.

The Nerazzurri have shown technical quality and tactical assurance, looking more and more able to control games as the season has worn on and they have absorbed the ideas of coach Simone Inzaghi.

Meanwhile, the team also have the mental qualities that are needed to fight for the entire season and take the right approach to difficult matches.

“I think they can win the Scudetto, and I hope so,” Moriero stated. “They have all the credentials needed to go all the way.”

He also gave his thoughts on the January transfer window, stating that “I think they should try and sell some of the fringe players. In terms of signings, I’d like to see an attacker brought in.”
