Inter are looking to sign a left-sided player to back up Ivan Perisic this month, and their main targets are Everton’s Lucas Digne and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Digne has emerged as their top target while they could also move for long-term target Kostic.

The only natural backup to Perisic in the squad currently is Federico Dimarco, who coach Simone Inzaghi wants to primarily use as a left-sided centre-back.

Digne looks to be on the way out at Everton after falling out with Toffees head coach Rafa Benitez, and the Nerazzurri are closely following his situation hoping to loan him in.

Meanwhile, Eintracht wing-back Kostic is another player who the Nerazzurri have been monitoring as a potential long-term successor to Perisic on the left for some time, but he could also be moved for this month.
