Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku Aiming For Reunion With Antonio Conte At Spurs Rather Than Inter Return, Italian Media Claim

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is not really interested in a return to Inter in the coming transfer windows, but rather hopes to reunite with Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur, according to Italian media.
This from yesterday’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who suggest that the Belgian appears more interested in a move within the Premier League despite words about wanting to move back to the Nerazzurri.
Lukaku created a stir in a candid recent interview with Sky Sport Italia in which he spoke of regret at having departed from Inter last summer and wanting to move back to the club at some point, as well as not having settled at Chelsea.
This has led to speculation that the 28-year-old could try and make a move back to the Nerazzurri in the coming transfer windows.
However, Tuttosport have argued, the player’s real motivation with the remarks could be to force a move across London to Spurs, where a manager he worked successfully at at Inter in the form of Antonio Conte is head coach.
