Inter are considering moving for Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo this month to reinforce their attacking options for the second half of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Ecuadorian is one of the Nerazzurri’s main short-term attacking targets.

Caicedo joined the Griffone from Lazio over the summer, but has not managed to cement a place for himself in the team so far this campaign, making only five appearances in Serie A.

The 33-year-old could leave the Ligurian club during the January transfer window as he does not look to be a major figure in the plans of new coach Andriy Shevchenko.

Caicedo had worked successfully with Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi across four seasons together at the Biancocelesti, and had been a target for Inter during the summer well, and they are considering swooping for him this month now that he’s available.
