Inter are ready to consider a loan swap with Everton involving midfielder Matias Vecino and Toffees left-back Lucas Digne.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri would allow Vecino to go the other way in order to secure Digne on loan with a purchase option.

The Nerazzurri are stepping up their interest in bringing Digne in during the January transfer window in order to back up Ivan Perisic, so that Federico Dimarco can be used exclusively as a centre-back.

The club would only be interested in bringing the 28-year-old in on a loan with an option to buy, something which the Toffees have yet to be convinced upon.

However, the clubs are considering an operation which sees Vecino leave for the Premier League on loan during the last few months of his contract in order to bring Digne to the Giuseppe Meazza.
