Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku remains in contact with many of his former teammates within the Inter dressing room, according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, as reported by FCInter1908, the SportMediaset journalist explained that the striker still speaks with many of the players at the Nerazzurri regularly.

Lukaku made remarks about regretting leaving Inter and wanting to to return to the club in a candid recent interview with Sky Sport Italia.

These comments have led to suggestions that the Nerazzurri could look to bring the Belgian back in at some point in the next few transfer windows.

There are a number of obstacles to Inter re-signing Lukaku, and one which has been brought up was that a return for the 28-year-old could disrupt the balance in the Nerazzurri dressing room.

However, Barzaghi believes that this would not be a problem as the striker still enjoys a good relationship with his former teammates.

“Lukaku’s return would not put the dressing room in crisis,” Barzaghi stated, “because he has remained in contact with many of his old teammates, many of whom he is still good friends with.”
