Inter are almost certain not to move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku even if he becomes available.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who argue that the Nerazzurri will not want to upset the balance within the dressing room, or with the fans.

Lukaku’s recent comments about regretting leaving Inter and not feeling that he has fit in with Chelsea yet have led to some speculation that the Belgian could be hoping for a swift return to the Giuseppe Meazza.

However, even putting aside the enormous finances that would be involved in such a deal and the fact that Chelsea would be unlikely to sanction the move, the Nerazzurri have significant reservations.

Firstly, the 28-year-old would have to win back the admiration of Nerazzurri supporters, many of whom are still unhappy with his decision to leave for Chelsea over the summer.

Secondly, the atmosphere in the dressing room is currently good, and the club want to make sure to avoid disrupting this with a major edition such as a returning Lukaku.
