Ivan Perisic wants a three-year deal in order to agree on a new contract with Inter past the end of June.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 32-year-old is aiming for a three-year deal in talks on a renewal, while the Nerazzurri are only willing to offer him a two-year deal.

Perisic’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June, but his form this season has moved the Nerazzurri to try and find an agreement on a new contract past this summer.

The club have been starting to open up a dialogue with the Croat and his entourage though they are only likely to start making progress in the talks after the end of the January transfer window.

Perisic is currently seeking a three-year deal which increases his salary at the club, while Inter have not moved from offering only a two-year deal which reduces his wages, though it remains to be seen if the parties can come together as talks move forward.
