One of Joaquin Correa or Alexis Sanchez will start alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack for Inter in their Serie A clash with Bologna on Thursday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has yet to settle on who he wants to start the match in the absence of Edin Dzeko.

Dzeko tested positive for COVID upon his return to training from his winter holiday, and while he is still aiming for a return against Lazio, there is no chance that he will be available for selection against Bologna.

Correa and Sanchez are both in the running to play in attack in the Nerazzurri’s first match back from the winter break, and Inzaghi is already considering his squad rotations across the packed January fixture schedule.

Meanwhile, Roberto Gagliardini and Arturo Vidal are the two players in contention to start in midfield in place of the suspended Hakan Calhanoglu.
