Inter only have a few minor details to be worked out in the contract for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana to join on a free transfer next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are set to sign the Cameroonian when they are officially able to.

Inter are still not yet able to formally announce the signing of Onana on a free transfer from the Dutch champions, but with the January transfer open this should be close at hand.

The 25-year-old has long been identified as the Nerazzurri’s preferred successor to Samir Handanovic on a long term basis, and they have been in advanced talks with him for several months.

Onana has already agreed on the move and now the club are working on the final details of his deal for next summer so that they can get the signing over the line soon.
