Inter striker Edin Dzeko will miss Thursday’s Serie A clash with Bologna but is aiming for a return in their next match against Lazio.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 35-year-old is recovering from COVID at home at the moment.

Dzeko was one of three Inter players to test positive for COVID upon returning to training from the winter break, and so the Bosnian has not been with the rest of the squad.

The striker is currently training at home and awaiting a negative test so that he can immediately make his return to the squad.

Inclusion in the squad for Thursday’s away trip to face Bologna is absolutely out of the question, but the Bosnian is keeping fit in the hopes that he will be cleared in time for the Nerazzurri’s match against Lazio at the San Siro over the weekend.
