Inter target Nahitan Nandez remains a Cagliari player, though he could well leave the Rossoblu during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old’s agent Pablo Bentancourt spoke to Italian news outlet SerieANews.com, and did not rule out a move away from the Rossoblu for the 25-year-old.

Nandez was a major target for Inter over the summer before they were unable to reach an agreement with Cagliari for his signature and moved on to other targets.

The Nerazzurri could resume their pursuit for the Uruguayan this month, however, with the midfielder one of their main targets for the January window especially in the event of other players leaving in midfield.

For now, the 25-year-old remains at Cagliari and isn’t close to a move to another club, but his agent feels that there is still every chance that he switches to a different club during the window.

Bentancourt told the Italian news outlet that “For now there isn’t any news, he remains a Cagliari a player. However, anything can happen in the transfer window.”
