Inter have offered Marcelo Brozovic a deal worth a net of €6.5 million per season to convince him to agree on a new contract.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are getting closer to an agreement with the 29-year-old to keep him on at the future.

Talks have been ongoing with Brozovic and his representatives since November on extending his deal past the end of June 2022 when it currently expires, and the mood has always been optimistic.

Brozovic’s initial request was for €8 million net per season while the Nerazzurri put forward an offer of €5 million net, but the parties have been coming together.

The club have now raised their offer to €6.5 million net per season, close to the €7 million being demanded by the player for some time in the talks.

The precise details and amounts still need to be worked out with add-ons also a part of the deal, but the parties are now close, and could agree a new deal soon with President Steven Zhang to be in Milan soon.
