Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matias Ginter is considering Inter’s contract offer to join in the summer on a free transfer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are one of the main possibilities that the 28-year-old is considering for his next club.

Ginter has officially announced that he does not intend to renew his current deal with Gladbach, and will instead leave on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.

A number of clubs are interested in the German’s signature on a free transfer, but the Nerazzurri look to be one of his main suitors, having been targeting him for some time.

Inter have made their contract offer to the defender, and now they will wait to see whether he decides to accept it, in which case they could get a deal over the line for him quickly.
