Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga feels that Inter have brought in a top goalkeeper in the form of Andre Onana next summer.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the 61-year-old highlighted the Cameroonian’s credentials to add quality to the position when he arrives at the end of his contract with Ajax.

Inter have had Onana identified as their preferred long-term successor to Samir Handanovic in goal for some time, and now the deal looks to be all but wrapped up.

The 25-year-old has already cemented a strong reputation for himself for his role with Ajax, and now he will look to make the step up to Serie A and prove himself capable of marshalling the club in goal for the seasons to come.

Zenga is a fan of the deal, and views the Cameroonian as one of the best and most experienced players that the Nerazzurri could have brought in for the position.

“Onana is a great goalkeeper, he has international experience, he played a lot of Champions League football,” he stated. “He is 1.9 metres tall, he has a real aura about him.”
