Flamengo have made an offer for Inter midfielder Matias Vecino, but he has indicated that he is not interested.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Brazilian giants would like to sign the 30-year-old in January, but that he prefers to stay at Inter until the end of the season.

Vecino has been linked with a move away during the January transfer window, with the Uruguayan having publicly complained about his relative lack of playing time.

The midfielder’s current deal with the club is set to run out at the end of June, but he could be allowed to leave during the January window to make room in the squad.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in Vecino, and Flamengo currently look to be among the most serious, but he would rather stay until the end of the season and then leave next summer rather than move to the Brazilian side.
