Inter are not wasting any time as they work to sign Borussia Monchengladbach defender Mathias Ginter on a free transfer in June.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri are trying to quickly get an agreement wrapped up with the 28-year-old on a move during the summer transfer window.

Ginter has officially announced his intention to let his current deal with Gladbach run down and then leave on a free transfer at the end of the season rather than extending his contract with the Bundesliga team.

Inter are among the German’s main suitors, and they have already offered him a contract for next season as they look to reinforce their squad without a transfer fee.

The Nerazzurri have made Ginter’s signing a priority, and they are using the January window to try and quickly get a deal done for him ahead of their competitors.
