Juventus head coach Max Allegri believes that Inter are in the driver’s seat in the Scudetto race going into the second half of the season.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the Bianconeri’s Serie A clash with Napoli tomorrow, the Italian tactician gave the view that the Nerazzurri are the team who can control the destination of the Serie A title.

Inter are four points clear at the top of the Serie A table, having started the season off with a few dropped points but surged to the top with a seven-match winning run going into the winter break.

Now, the pressure will be on Inter to continue being the favourites and to show that they can keep this level up and defend their Scudetto crown from last campaign.

“Even before the season started, I said that Inter were favourites,” he stated. “I don’t want to speak for Simone Inzaghi, but I think that it’s their title to lose.”

The Bianconeri coach also gave an update on the fitness of defender Leonardo Bonucci, who is currently out with a thigh injury but could return in time to face Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana on the twelfth.

“Bonucci will miss tomorrow’s match and Sunday’s as well, and then we’ll see about the Supercoppa,” he explained.
