Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Ivano Bordon is convinced that Andre Onana will be a success at Inter when he joins on a free transfer next summer.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the Nerazzurri legend spoke highly of the Cameroonian based on what he is seen of him at Ajax.

Onana underwent his medicals at Inter yesterday ahead of a move to the club in the summer, which will see him come in as the long-term successor to Samir Handanovic in goal.

The keeper is only 25, but he has already established a strong reputation for himself in a position where many players do not begin to show their best until well into their twenties.

Bordon can see why Onana is so highly rated, and he believes that the Nerazzurri have done an excellent piece of business by securing his signature for next summer.

“Inter have made a great signing,” he stated, going on that “He’s a great goalkeeper on a free transfer.”

“I’ve seen several videos of him,” Bordon added, “He has explosive reactions and he’s great with his feet. They do a good job of training that in the Netherlands.”
