Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi heads into the Nerazzurri’s first match of 2022 with a good precedent of never having lost his first Serie A game of a calendar year.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight the coach’s positive record in the first match of January ahead of Inter’s away trip to Bologna tomorrow.

Last January, Inzaghi’s Lazio team drew their first match back from the winter break against Genoa.

However, in the four January matches that the coach had taken charge of prior to that, the Biancocelesti managed to take three points from all four.

Inter travel to Emilia-Romagna to face Bologna tomorrow, and they go in search of their eighth win from eight after winning all seven of their Serie A matches between the November international break and the holidays.

Coach Inzaghi will be hoping that he can keep his own personal record going to help out his team as they hunt for the second consecutive Scudetto.
