Inter are interested in signing Chelsea’s Danish defender Andreas Christensen who is struggling for regular game time in the Premier League, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport this evening, Inter sporting CEO Beppe Marotta is apparently very keen on the Danish defender who is still only 25 years old and has time on his side.

The Chelsea player does feature for Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel but he is not a first choice defender and it is thought that he might value the continuity that Inter could offer him in defence.

Andreas Christensen will actually be out of contract at Chelsea in June 2022 which means he could be available on a free transfer. He currently earns over €4 million per season which Inter may not be able to offer to him.

It remains to be seen if he will sign a new deal with Chelsea.
